What You Should Know About Hair Loss

One In 10 Men Are Extremely Concerned About Losing Their Hair

Once a man begins to lose his hair, there is a chance that insanity of the temporary variety is not lagging that far behind it. This is a problem that many men are so focused on that it starts to skirt the line of becoming an obsession.

Balding can have an effect on many parts of a man’s life. Interpersonal relationships are usually affected negatively since the self-esteem has taken a blow and confidence is not as easy to come by. The rebuild hair program is a good way to restore hair growth.

Sometimes Male Pattern Baldness Occurs Before Reaching 21

Male pattern baldness (MPB) is one of the worst things that could happen to a man. The departure of their hair follicles is a direct blow to their self image. MPB is usually associated with being an older man that is possibly in the throes of a midlife crisis. There is nothing about it that has anything to do with being youthful.

Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Out of all of the men that have to worry about watching their hairlines wane, 25% of them will have to worry about this before they are even legally able to purchase alcohol.

More Than Half Of Men Cannot Spot A Hair Transplant

Hair transplants and other hair loss solutions are usually looked at negatively. In popular culture, they are often used to paint characters as arrogant, incompetent and absurd. Many of the plugs make the wearer look like a Chia pet.

The good thing is that the procedures that are used now are far more advanced than those that were used in the past. According to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, there are men all over the place who have had transplants and they are not detectable. They published a Hair Loss Challenge survey in 2009. The data that was offered showed that three in every five men are not able to spot those who have implants from those that do not.

    Therapy For Your Mind

Contrary to popular belief that people who undergo therapy are crazy, well the truth is almost everybody needs it. And no, just because you are going through therapy, does not mean you are mentally ill at all. If anything, you are actually doing a wise call to prevent yourself from going crazy. There is nothing to be ashamed of when you have a scheduled with a therapist because that is for the benefit of your mind, your brain and your whole body. Remember that in order to have a healthy functioning body, you must have a healthy brain.

Here are the things that usually happen during therapy and why it is good for you.

    • Questions About Your Childhood- If it is your first visit, your therapist will ask you something about your past especially on how you have spent your childhood years. Why? Because your childhood affects who you are today in so many ways. If you have live your childhood days living in fear and being abused, then that will cascade a lot of unpleasant things in your mind as you grow older. Once the therapist determines that, it would easy for him or her to handle you.
    • Your Lifestyle- You will have to tell your therapist your lifestyle and what you do for a living. That contributes a lot as well when it comes to the health of your brain. If you have a very stressful work and you can’t seem to stop yourself from working, then you must learn how to pause and take a break before your brain bursts out and completely be burned out. That is also something that your therapist would advice you, only they could be specific on the activities that you could do depending on your personality.
    • Honesty- In everything you do, be honest. You must tell your therapist the truth about your life so he or she could determine exactly what to do to you. Although even if you lie, these are trained individuals and they could detect if you are telling the truth or not so might as well give them the truth.
    • Breathing Room- Your therapy session could be your breathing room. You could voice out whatever it is that frustrates you, especially if you are someone who does not exactly have friends because you have trust issues. It is okay because the good news is, you can tell everything to your therapist.

Basically, therapists are there for you to have someone to talk to that you could trust. They won’t betray you because that would go against their professionalism. You will be signing a contract with them regarding therapist and patient confidentiality, so anything that would go out of that room, they could actually be in trouble. So trust that your worries and your secrets are safe. Once in a while you will need someone to talk to so you could unload your burden, you can do that with a therapist if real friends are not around.

Everywhere and almost anything that is done these days often involve a certain kind of stress and not being able to handle the level of stress that is experienced often lead to more complicated issues and health concerns including the deterioration of the brain cells making memory and learning very much affected.

    How stress destroys the brain

Stress is often associated with emotions but there is more to it than what is conceived to be as it is largely related to the functioning of the brain as it is significantly associated to the hippocampus.

Studies have deemed that when stress is ill handled the hippocampus, which is in charge of the development of new memories and the recovery of old memories, starts to deteriorate and the damage would greatly affect the function of the brain in terms of learning and recalling the memories that should have been stored in the brain.

Anxiety and depression also affect memory

Socializing Leads To A Healthy Mind

Socializing and going out to hang out with friends is not just something fun but actually healthy for your mind. You get to talk to people and share ideas and concerns, because after all no man is really an island. It is never healthy to isolate yourself especially when you are going through something in life.

If you want to be inspired and motivated, it doesn’t matter how antisocial you are, you will still need the company of other people. You will be able to learn from them to cope and adjust and most importantly, that will keep your mind busy and off the things you are worried about.

One of the things that usually make a person snap mentally is worry. It starts with fear and the rest of the trouble continues. It is not ideal to worry anyway because everything is temporary. You must have the right perspective in life and guess what? That is something you could learn when you are with friends and with people.

But on the other hand, you must be weary of the people you surround yourself with because not all of them will be good for you. Pick a group of friends who are genuine and real enough to care for your being.

Socializing is a skill that you must learn. Others are gifted with an innate talent that the minute they walk inside the door with people, their personality just lights up the whole place and everybody wants to start talking to them. Now you don’t have to be like that because everybody is different.

You must also learn how to celebrate individuality to be able to cope up in a social crowd. Don’t expect other people to be like you and even like you at once. It takes time to be friends with people so just let things be but still don’t forget to be yourself.

Mingling with friends is a healthy practice because not only will it protect you from going crazy in case you have some really big problems, at the end of the day, you will realize that it is fun. Laughing with the right people is not just good for the brain, but also for the soul. Laughing and being happy could help fight depression and you will be able to face whatever it is because your heart and mind is just right.

Don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith today and go hang out with people. Especially if you are the shy type, go ahead and embrace your fears. Life is a lot less scary when you have friends and you will realize how awesome it is when you get to share it with them.

Join a healthy club or even check out your local community to see where you can hangout for a change instead of your usual nights of hanging out with your couch and television. Life is short; don’t make it shorter by being alone. Go out and have some fun tonight.

    Signs Of Depression

Depression is a real issue and it is not a joke. Lots of people are going through it and unfortunately, others could even die from it. The recent death of Hollywood comedian Robin Williams is one example that this issue is not something to neglect or not pay attention to. You only have one brain, so you better take care of it and do everything to get yourself out of depression. But first, you must know the signs and symptoms of depression so you can be aware of how to get yourself out of it.

Extreme Emotions- When you feel sad to the point of crying your lungs out and then all of a sudden you are happy that you want to throw a party out of the blue, you should be aware that it is not exactly a normal thing to experience. It is usual for people to be sad and happy of course, but if they are doing things in extreme measures, then that is no longer healthy.

Eating Habits-  You would either not have the appetite to eat or totally binge on food. It depends on people’s personality and it is a case-to-case basis, but nevertheless your weight will be affected and it could be evident immediately.

Weight Changes– Since your eating habits won’t be normal; you will also notice a huge drop on your weight or a huge gain.

Sleep– It is either you will have so many sleepless nights or you will just sleep a lot. If you saw the movie Sex In The City Part 1, you will notice that Carrie just wants to sleep for straight 48 hours when they reached Mexico since her marriage was botched? Watch for those signs if you are the type who is not exactly insomniac. Although most of the time, the common sign is not being able to sleep.

Irritability– Anything will tick you off so easily even if it is really not something that you should be ticked off. Like the sound of the birds or the blowing of the wind could make you easily mad.

Anti-social– The thought of isolating yourself is always on your mind that you really even make it a point to do everything just so you won’t have to deal with people. Get some help before you even reach this point.

Once you see one or two of these signs in your life, there is a possibility that you are already experiencing depression. Go find a friend and ask for help and not dwell on your depressing situation. You can also find a therapist who would be able to trace the roots of why you are depressed. That is something that needs to be done and you have to do it immediately before it is too late. Now it doesn’t mean you are crazy. It just means that you need to take care of mind as well, especially this time that it needs healing. You can always find a good therapist in your area.
